    SamSpayed:

Nico said in Discord that it takes them about 4 months start-to-finish to create a new set of pins for a course.  So, given that they haven't announced yet (to my knowledge) that they're working on a new set of pins for any course, I'm guessing that no new sets will be released this year.  But one can always hope.

I believe he said 3-4 months, I was the one on the "Monthly Q&A" 🤣 who asked him specifically about it.  (I put the smiley after that because we are heading into month 8 and I think he's had maybe 3-4 of them so far, although to be fair when you (WGT in general, not you personally Nico) haven't done a whole lot of new stuff I guess there's really no reason to have a bunch of meetings about it. 🤷‍♂️

And even if we agree it's 4, we still have 5 months left in the year, so should be easily doable.  Plus just because he hasn't announced it yet doesn't mean they haven't started the preliminary groundwork - you know for some reason these things all have to remain on Top Secret lockdown until the week before they are set to release.

In the end, I'm like you @SamSpayed - pessimistically optimistic.

Nico said yesterday in Discord that what they're working on now is improving the avatar animations and adding more limited time coin rooms.  Not new courses or pins.  He said the guy that does the pins is working on other things.  He also said the avatar animations were done by some folks who came to WGT from the now-defunct Shankstars team.  So, in other words, WGT is spending their latest salaries on retaining people from a failed gaming endeavor who don't have the skillsets to (a) fix bugs and problems or (b) give us new courses or pins.

At this point, I would say I'm pessimistically pessimistic 🙁  IMHO, they're working on the wrong things.

So leaving the ship?! A pity, the game with the best graphic Slot machine and rerealism IS dieing  to a Casino Slot.

adding new pins wouldn't seem like something that would be overly time consuming (i'm a banker, not a programmer).  You have the green, and could program an easy, moderately easy, moderate, moderately difficult and difficult pin placement in specified areas.

I enjoy the new pins on pinehurst and chambers, so far that's the only 2 courses where I've noticed the new pins.

but yah, i think every course, every green should have minimum 3 pin locations, ideally 5

You would not think it would be that difficult, but Nico has said it takes 3-4 months per course.  Still - that should lead to at least 3 or possibly 4 new pin sets per year, right?  Not so fast!!!  There is apparently only one person who knows how to program new pins, and he has other jobs assigned to him in addition to this, so this is why we are lucky to only get 1-2 sets per year.

Not taking WGT's side here, just repeating what we've been told.
