    Hi all,

Had a 10 foot putt from the fringe and the scale was on 50. I changed the scale to

30 and my putt went about 30 feet. What gives with the scales?

Never, ever believe the autocaddie. I have come to the conclusion that WGT is just making sure that you are paying attention.

    Beware if you are not.

I have been caught out more than once.

the fringe adds length to  putt...also for each ''inch'' of height above or below the cup,add or subtract one foot of putt speed

A putt on the 30 ft scale goes 30 feet? Think maybe you left something out describing your problem like how big was the backswing? what the elevation change was to the hole? greens fast or slow?

One thing to watch for is sometimes the putting scale shows up in yards instead of feet, based on your lie. If this was your case you were actually on the 90 ft scale (30 yd).

Thanks for the replies. Going from 90 ft scale to 30 yds was probably what happened.

I will be careful of that in the future.
