    DoctorLarry:

Yes - but I don't think there is a concern if one is not bad-mouthing a player - and Kenher01 is not.  He is paying quite a compliment!

I get that and don't have a problem with him posting it. I just thought it was ironic that he took the time to blot out a few letters but left the CC info untouched. It takes about 30 seconds to figure out who it is with the first 15 seconds pondering if one wants to go to the trouble of looking it up. ;-)

    So I compliment you, Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893 Robert1893

If I am wrong - feel free to post my handle multiple times!

Who am I to argue? :-)

Personally, I'd recommend you try and hold off until you get to the Cally LVL 85 irons.  Anything in between then and LVL70 are just stop-gap clubs that aren't much of an upgrade.

The LVL85's are a quantum leap above everything that proceeded them, and will be the 2nd last set of irons you'll ever need, and will last several months (or a year, depending on how much you play) before you reach the LVL97 or LVL100 endgame sets.

I would recommend Calloway Mavericks most of their irons have 4.4 meter speeds and I use Max glove it will slow meter even more the higher the lvl. Also if able to I recommend always playing the same ball

    Robert1893:

While good advice, you realize you're responding to a thread that's almost 2 years old, yes?

If you use the SEARCH box to search for "best irons" (which IMHO is a logical thing for a player to search for), this is the first thread that comes up.  So it seems reasonable that DuiTiger6 would reply to this one.

I think that iron selection at the mid-levels (high 50s to mid-80s) boils down to what meter speed you can handle and how long you want to wait.  Here's a side-by-side comparison between 3 great candidates that are available as of today, all of which were mentioned earlier in this thread:

I wouldn't recommend the PING i500 Iron Set (L69+) irons simply because the meter speed is horrendous (2.5).
