  Every time I log on to the game I need to close the two popup windows telling me to join a country club, or join a tournament.

  Is this really necessary? How to turn it off?

  Not 100% sure this is the fix but under your account, look at the Contact Info tab-there's choices there you'll understand as soon as you see them.  :-)

  /methinks that pop-ups aren't cured at that place.

  @BKR1: It's an annoying feature, but THEY want it so. You'll have to adapt, in one or the other way!

  I use Maxthon and don't get any popups

  The popups he's talking about might. Those are WGT originated and I've never seen them. I have all of the boxes checked under Contact Info.

  Installed Maxthon to see, and the pop-up about joining a tournament seems to have gone away, but the one for joining a club keeps popping up

  Not a big deal, but still..

  I deleted the game and reinstalled it and have no problem now.

  You'll get it across all browsers if not a CC member..no way of turning it off.

  Like getting asked the same friggin Q every morning..

  Unless and until you join a CC, Pop up will keep showing up !! Theres no remedy for that.
