In all my years of playing mobile I have never accidentally hit the ball effects icon , instead of putting spin on the ball . I suggest if you are , then you will have a heck of a problem trying to hit the ding !!
ball effects are useful if you have a ball that isn’t white , and have trouble seeing it , I add the flag ball effects then so I can at least follow the ball in the air , particularly those free kitty balls we got a while back !
