You can only have one saved game at a time.. so, if you had to leave a game (for whatever reason) with the big red X, or if you chose Quit and Save, then the very next time you try to play the game it will ask you to complete or forfiet that round.
The only way you don't get that option is if you chose Quit and Don't Save from the menu,
