If you wish to
uninstall flash to install an older version, you need to download adobe's uninstaller HERE and follow the instructions on that page carefully.
yourself an old version of flash HERE (scroll
past the developers only archives and use the next group for your choice) and download
To install flash,
double click the downloaded zip file, or use whatever method you like to unzip it. If there
is more than one folder in the unzipped file, double click the one that doesn't have 'debug'
in its name.
There may be a lot of
files in this folder, some are for linux users, some for mac users and the rest are for
windows users. The filename of each will give you a clue as to which ones are right for
your operating system.
Out of the group of
files which are for you, the end of the filename indicates what kind of flash player will be
installed when you double click it.
win.exe or win.msi is the
NPAPI flash player for windows.
winax.msi is the activeX flash player for windows for
winpep.exe or winpep.msi is the PPAPI pepperflash player for
win_sa.exe is a standalone flash player.
I'm guessing that this runs outside of a browser environment. Might be wise to Google it
for more details if you think you need this.
You can use either
the .exe files or the .msi files to install what you need. Ultimately they both achieve the
same end result.
