  • Re: Upcoming Features

Personally, the worst part about these updates is that St. Andrew's stroke play is just a "future" item. It's not on the timeline for soon. It's just something they're working on. That could mean we don't see it until next summer. I mean, look how long it's taking to get Pinehurst after they took picture (and that's

  • Re: Too frustrated with this

There is no fine tuning "The Beast" though. I will say that is the single most frustrating aspect of play here at WGT.

  • Wolf Creek

Not trying to light a fire under anyone, but TWO just released the Wolf Creek Club for Stroke Play. Care to expand the CTTH to stroke play on Wolf Creek here, WGT?

  • Re: More Stroke Play Courses

With respect to flying all over the world for more courses.......why weren't more photographs taken of the existing CTTH-Only courses so that stroke play would just be more time and work with existing data? And we saw last fall that Pinehurst was photographed by WGT, but still have not seen any sort of upcoming release announcement for it, stroke

  • Re: Go to #17 on Kiawah

I wouldn't doubt it's right. The same thing can happen on BPB #15. You can have a distance to the hole that's equal to or less than the elevation change between the ball and hole. And since the rule of thumb is 1 inch elevation change = 1 foot putt strength change, you'd be looking at basically blowing on the ball to get it to the hole

  • Re: wow this game sucks now!

The big deal is that you can't go back tiers. So if they change the requirements to make it much harder to reach the Pro and Masters tiers, if you're already a Master and would have never had the new average require to become a Master, you still stuck as a Master.

Or you could practice a bit, place in the top 70 in tournaments, and win some credits (instead of thinking you have to purchase them). If you want to spend $$ here for better equipment, you can. However, if you don't, you can still play just as much and still upgrade if you place well enough in tournaments.

  • Re: Physics Are All Wrong

I don't necessarily have a problem with the lip outs or coming up just short of the hole (though I seem to have them FAR too often). The deviations SUCK (to quote the original poster) however. And half the time, I can't tell if it was a deviation that sucked the shot off, or if it was just that when I changed my aim point to account for wind

  • Re: Unbalanced wind pattern sets

Even better, take the actual layout of the holes and give the COURSE a wind value and direction. Then fluctuate the speed a bit by hole (and direction, too, within 15-30 degrees.....ie NE wind default, so a hole could have NNE, NE, or ENE wind during play). To me that would make everything as "fair" as possible. Yes, some rounds might have

  • Re: How to aim your shot?

No suggestion here. I notice that quite often, most commonly on the par 3 holes. I've even had a few perfectly struck shots go straight at the hole off the club as well.
