From the "Dontcha Hate When That Happens" File...

It was all going along GREAT... 5 straight one-putt birds to start off a multiplayer round on the back-nine of St. Andrews, then a birdie putt on #15 that rolls to within 2" of the cup for a tap-in par, then another bird on the 16th... then WHAM!... one of my playing partners DISCONNECTS... whether intentionally, or not... THE WRONG WAY. I don't know if he clicked THE "X" (instead of using the "Menu Quit"), or if he was booted, lightning struck his 'puter, or what... but the result was that the game froze and I had to save the round and finish it after clicking this and that, with #17... MY NIGHTMARE HOLE... to return to. I s'pose I should be glad that the game allowed me to save what could've been possibly my greatest round to date, here at WGT...

Well... the rhythmic "roll" I was on came to an abrupt halt there, as my approach shot sailed over the green, and across the road. I was truly surprised that the game allowed me to continue from there, without penalty... with a chance to even save par... but alas, my shot to the green stopped very short of the cup, and I two-putted for bogie. :(

I managed to compose myself sufficiently to birdie #18, and finished with a still phenomenal (for me, anyways) 6-under 30... but the taste left in my mouth wasn't as sweet as it could've been...   :/

My first sub-30 nine-hole round ever. (4/25/2010)

Finally! A 29! Everything was going well, even though it was my first round played in a week It started-out as a multi-player round, but I was left at the 2nd or 3rd hole to finish the round on my own.

Seven straight birdies - my new best, as well. :]
