To let all of you know
    17 Oct 2008 at 4:16 PM

The reason my net score went from 69 point something to 71 point something is because I don't quit when I have a bad round.  (Unless it's REALLY bad!  lol).  Most times I play ranked single stroke play and just....PLAY.

Why do I do this?  Because in real life, that's what I'd do.  And because in future tournaments when there's be 4 rounds I might have a bad day so I have to learn how to recover...which I'm doing.

So if you're not shooting your goal of 5 under par, play anyway and try to GET 5 under par.  Bad days happen to everybody but don't discard your bad days to keep up your cumlative score.  It's dishonest in my opinion.

    Thanks Fuzz!

"Your Reply on Driver Off the Deck"

Thanks for the support.  Sounds like we're in the same boat (walking wounded).  Had my ACL replaced Sept 08 but it didn't go so well.  Continued to play after that and tore my meniscus, MCL, and created several stress fractures but still managed to play to a 6.7 hdcp.  Went from bombing driver averaging 310 to a mortal 290.  Just had another surgery on the knee one month ago and still on crutches for another 2 weeks.  Won't see the green grass of my real course until March of next year.

WGT is my only outlet, and will be for quite some time so I'd like it to be as true to life as possible.  It seems like WGT could build in some sort of intelligence that would allow a player to gain distance and consistency as he plays more and demonstrates the ability to hit pure shots.  I am an absolute golf junkie and would go to sleep every night visualizing shots and would play 5 times a week if afforded the opportunity.  Unfortunately with 2 kids I only got to play once a week.

Side note, do you ever have shots that you hit dead center "ding" and have them jump drastically off line?  This happens to me quite frequently and some of them have actually fought against the wind 10-15 yds.  I submit this as a bug to WGT when it happens but haven't heard anything back.  Not sure if they have it this way on purpose, but it seems utterly ridiculous for a "pro" to hit pure shots that jump widly off line.

pete, today is not good for me to play, hit me again later in the week, will be glad to play, or I will hit you.

    "You never know..."

...that Skills Challenge is a crapshoot.  I wasn't sure I'd get anywhere near your score, they way it had been playing.  You kind of need a perfect storm situation to shoot low on it.  My lucky day I guess.

Thanks for the congrats, and congrats to you on a great score!
