4. Game Description.

The 2018 VIRTUAL U.S. AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIP Contest is a 90-hole stroke play contest.

Qualifier.  The entrants will be given eighteen holes throughout the golf course, and are challenged to get the ball into the cup for each hole in the fewest strokes. The number of stokes taken to get the ball into each cup, plus any penalties, will be recorded for each entrant. When entrant completes all eighteen designated holes in the Qualifier round, the number of strokes plus penalties are totaled and comprise the entrant's score in that Game. The lowest final score received by you for a Game during the Qualification Period will be recorded as your entry for the Qualifier. The lowest scoring 32 entrants(the "Qualifying Entrants") will advance to the Championship Bracket rounds. If any Qualifying Entrant(s) are not eligible to win a prize, the prize(s) for such entrants will be awarded to the entrant(s) eligible to win a prize with the next lowest score(s).

Championships.  The Qualifying Entrants will advance to the Championship Brackets rounds where they will play eighteen holes throughout the golf course in each of four rounds, and are challenged to get the ball into the cup for each hole in the fewest strokes. There will be two 16-player brackets setup. Each player will be randomly matched up against another player and the player who posts the lower round score will be the winner of the match, and will continue on to the next round. The loser of the match will not be able to continue the bracket portion of the Championship. The number of strokes taken to get the ball into each cup, plus any penalties, will be recorded for each entrant. When entrant completes all 18 holes in the round, the number of strokes plus penalties are totaled and comprise the entrant's final score (subject to the provision below in the event of a tie between two or more entrants, and subject to meeting eligibility and all other requirements in these Official Rules). If the lowest scoring entrant in the Championships is not eligible to win a prize, the prize will be awarded to the next entrant eligible to win a prize with the lowest score in the Championships.

In the event of a tie, the better scoring entrant between or among the tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest combined score for the final nine (9) holes of the Game. If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest combined score for the final six (6) holes for such Game. If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest combined score for the final three (3) holes for such Game. If any ties remain, the better scoring entrant between or among the remaining tied entrants will be the entrant with the lowest score for the 18th hole (9th for nine hole games) in such Game, and any remaining ties will be determined by identifying the lowest scoring entrant for each individual game hole, in sequence from 17th (8th for nine hole games) through to 1st, as is necessary to determine a winner, and if any ties remain at that point, the earlier-submitted entry between or among the tied entries will be deemed the better scoring entry.

Live Event.  The eventual winner of each 16-player bracket will be considered the bracket champion. The two bracket champions will then play against each other in an 18-hole Match Play game live and in-person at the Topgolf Midtown Atlanta venue on September 22nd, 2018. The final game will be played on the Web version of WGT. If any player is unable or unwilling to attend the live event then the prize will be forfeited and the player who finished the bracket one spot lower will be invited to play in the live event. Computers will be made available to each bracket champion if needed. The bracket champion is allowed to bring his or her own computer and mouse to use in the live event.
