i, like many others here, prefer to play fast to keep the pace of the game moving.  it's just basic golf etiquette. granted, i have a high speed cable connection, which makes is easier to play fast. i'm usually the first player in my group to load the hole.  for what it's worth, here is my routine designed to speed my game up.  some of it is obvious stuff.

when my turn to tee off, click on zoom, a quick direction adjustment based on wind speed and direction, and let 'er rip. this really shouldn't take more than 10 seconds, allowing for time for zoom to load based on connection speed. while the others in my group are teeing off or hitting their approach, i click on my ball in the mini-map in the lower right. knowing the yardage and wind direction, when it's my turn i already know which club i'll use and about how hard to hit it.  a quick zoom and direction adjustment, and hit.  15 or 20 seconds. when putting, i always use the reverse view. i think it makes it easier to adjust direction cuz the aimers relationship to the hole is easier to see.  a tip i read to add or subtract one yard for every inch of elevation gain or loss seems to work most of the time.  adjust your power for green speed and the putts heading to the hole. i never chat when it's my turn to hit.  i should be swinging, not talking.

anyone out there with a high speed connection who likes to play fast can invite me anytime.   hit em straight

As has been mentioned in many previous threads...  (like this one)

Other games offer a shot timer option.  I don't see why this wouldn't work here.

Unlimited for those who like to chat.

15 seconds for those of us who like to play golf.

    4 or 5 increments in-between.

    Problem solved.

No sir 90 secs is perfect maybe 30 secs for tee off yes, but i like to take my time if you look at my mp stats they`re good, rush me and i`m quitting this game for good! i get one or two people moaning at me to speed up,but it allways happens when i`m leading i-e they`re trying to put me off,if your reading this wgt staff 90 secs is spot on don`t be bullied into changing the clock by the few moaners, whats that old saying, oh yes patients is a virtue.

45 seconds on teebox and 60 seconds for all others would be a much better time adjustment.

Fluffton.... what is wrong with an optional / variable time clock?

I understand you want to take your time... that's fine.

But if some of us wish to be in and out for a round in under 5 hours, we could certainly use a 15/30 second timer.

Some of us have better things to do all day than to sit and watch 3 other people use 5 minutes of our lives waiting for the next shot.

So.. variable and optional.  Therefore, if you don't want to be rushed, don't join a game with a short timer... and set it to unlimited for your own games, taking as many hours as you feel necessary.

No one is bullying anyone to changing anything.  We just want an option.

"Patience" is indeed a virtue, but there are limits.

    Peace.

I like the 90 seconds on days I do chores while playing. Done alot of laundry, cooking & cleaning while you all wait 85 seconds for me to putt out from <1'. On lite days a 15, 30, 45 & 60 second clock would work for me.

Anyone who can't hit any shot here in less than 20 seconds has no game and won't.

That's right SP. I'll give time to a newbie, but anyone with a significant amount of ranked rounds should be able to play within 30 seconds.

I'm with BB. I've seen most putting lines almost 7900 times, I can usually make a decision on a putting line within 15 seconds. The same for approach shots.

So that's what your doing. Next time we play a match, I'll be sure to ask what's for dinner first. lol
