This thread is mostly in jest cause I'm bored and want to get opinions.  I am very inconsistent with my mouse finger and I'm sure that is the problem with my performance.  However, there is something I cannot stop thinking about.

A couple of days ago I rented the Daytona putter.  During the rental period I could not miss.  I shot 31's and 32's (excellent scores for me), and was sinking everything..... Including a 74 foot Eagle putt.  This of course prompted me to immediately eschew my Spider putter and purchase the Daytona outright.  Now that I own it, I can't seem to putt at all.

I doubt it's actually happening, and I am at fault, but I keep wondering if it's possible they tweak the performance slightly while renting, to get you to buy?

You've broken the code .. How could I be so blind ... that's exactly what the plan was all along.

Over the past 3 years WGT has engaged with venture capitalists, borrowed extensively to build a company, put together a staff, taken hundred's of thousands of pictures of courses, programmed and built this elaborate Virtual Golf Universe, sold advertising space to major golf corporations, and laid out plans for the future .... all so they can make the clubs play better when you rent them so they can get your Seven Dollars and Fifty Cents

By the evil laugh I know your kidding around ... go hit the virtual ball and have some fun.  :)

And JayJon ... enough with the forums .. go practice .. :) ... (kidding - but I know I'll catch you again)

Clear your flash cache then give the club at least 5 rounds to break in.

Sounds silly but that is what happens I've found with anything new, clubs, tier changes, updated things, etc

Any new club I've had has been wacky until it "broke in", which really just means your character has to somehow adjust to it in the game.

Seven dollars and fifty cents times 500 thousand active users is a decent sum! @Jay..... I clean fragments/cookies/and cache often. I have played at least 20 rounds or more since purchasing. This would not explain outstanding performance during rental, and not so outstanding performance once owned and used daily. Just sayin'...............

Could it have been a mind set thing? There are times I putt like a master and times I putt like a hack. This also happens in real golf if you watch any of the PGA tournaments. If I am in a relaxed mood I get the dinger more consistently and putt better also, but once you feel you can beat this game, bam a golf ball hits your head and your done.lol.

This is actually what I believe the problem to be.  I felt invincable with my new putter and was just very confident.  I go up and down so bad with scores it's unbelievable.  I think this will level out with more experience and time put in, though.

The conspiracy thing is just for fun, cause I have not seen a conspiracy thread lately.

    Or is it?
