While this is a fun game, the one main thing I find it is lacking is the movable dot to work the ball with. Sure you can add backspin or topspin, I am talking degrees of sidespin to work the ball against the wind to get at some of the more difficult pin placements. It would be more fun to work the ball around corners, and curve it on to long greens. I realize the game is in BETA stage, but developers need to work on this next for the future and fun of the game.

    It's in the roadmap IIRC.

They already had something like that in a previous release, but it wasn't on the ball...

This will be awesome once they get it working!

Ball back in stance or in front, awesome, more trickery for us to master.  I wonder how they will add the draw/fade options....?

I don't remember if they implemented it back when we had the stance setup, but I would assume you'd be able to change your stance (open/closed) which would create draws and fades.

Also, back then, you could do both max backspin on the ball, and move the ball way back in your stance.   You'd get great elevation, but lose alot of distance.   Made the game very interesting when playing with both ball spin and ball location in stance.

That's backwards of the way it works for real. Putting the ball forward in your stance is supposed to provide loft-the club hits the ball on the upswing and increases club loft. Setting it back in your stance closes the club face and flattens the shot out. At least this is the way it was in MS Links and works IRL.

You're right, that was a typo on my part.

Heh-Now I can go back to hoping it comes back. That is exactly what SA needs to set the real golfers apart. All those side hill lies are going to do what DMM suggested in another thread-bring the averages up. :-D

I play a course in real life that is very hilly, both uphill/downhill and sidehill lies. It has nice fairly level areas in strategic landing zones but any miss and Oh My!!!

I have balls I purchased in the pro shop that allow 'spin' by moving the dot on the ball (its there on these)

Unfortunately it never seeim to work (moving dot down for 'backspin' and up for 'roll' (forward spin)). I don't think I will be spending money on them again

Hey Alexis..your clubs have a lot to do w/ that also...specially having a low spin rate. if you stay w/ the starter clubs i wouldnt worry about spending much money on balls..maybe the 1 dot distance or 1 dot spin balls...those run pretty cheap.
