    For me, birdies at the 2nd hole of St. Andrews come very, very dear, if at all...LOL

    Very true. I'm looking at 25 to 30 foot birdie putts every rip.

    That downhill slope in the front part of the green will do that.   Sky it past the slope and hope you can stick the shot with backspin.   Or look to land on the top of that hill, and have it run down the slope.

    Of course, both those things are much easier said than done, especially in 20+MPH wind conditions.   :)
