Blitz game tips

  Although I have played some blitz games in the past, my memory of the game and how the points are scored are a bit hazy. Could someone refresh my memory on how to  maximize scores, like doubling up and whatnot while playing and what courses yield the best possibilties for doing so.

  You really cannot go wrong on blitz by hitting them close every hole :^)

  Obviously a hole out comes in handy but if your ambitions lie beyond hitting every green your target is to get as many consecutive shots inside 10 feet. It is possible to gain a score over 200,000 without hitting a pin or holing out. Putting all 9 shots inside 10 feet gains an accuracy bonus of 128,000.

  My own favourites are St Andrews set 2, plenty of chances for a hole out and consecutive shots inside 10 feet. Oakmont set 2 for the same reason. Both Congressional set of pins are great for 100,000+ scores, as is Kiawah set 2.

  Least favourite is Celtic Manor and Pinehurst.

  Many thanks for your reply and if you could answer the next two I would appreciate it.

  How many points for hitting the flagstick and how many points for holing out.

  20,000  flagstick ?

  100,000  holeout ?

  I think hitting the pin is 25,000. I have no idea how the ace bonus works, it seems to add around 200,000 to your score though.

  25,000 for a flagstick, more than 100,000 for an ace. Probably at least 150,000.
