    $24 for a putter???

WGT's prices are retarded and will eventually be its downfall.

$24 for  a Nike putter, $29 for a full set of top irons..... Yea, that makes sense.

I completely agree...at least they give the opportunity for some people (bollox), (me) to make back the credits and not have to pay the $$, only the time and stress...I bought a R11 driver at level 88 and it left me broke...no deposits later...I was back on my feet (thanks to my club owner for donating a sleeve of balls) before too long. I started winning creds again and now just turned lvl 89 and have around 3,000 credits.

Back to the original topic, WGT just wants to squeeze more money out of the players. They make a new top thing but make it super expensive so that only the top players can get it which creates wider separation, meaning no more credits for the lower people so they deposit more and more and more until WGT's profits triple...at least that's what it seems like they are trying to do...sry if I got it all wrong but that is just what it looks like

On another topic, why doesn't wgt have blade irons? The reason the top scores are so low is because the irons/wedges are WAAAY too forgiving. If you're going to have a 3 iron that goes 240 yds, should it really end up inside of 20 ft on a missed shot? NO! The top tour pros IRL have an average distance to the pin of around 35 ft. while the top WGTers have an average distance to the pin of something like 7 ft...see a difference? I think the top irons should act like starters with better stopping power, longer distance, and much faster meter. Also WGT needs to stop with meter slowing balls...they make the fastest meters in the game feel like starters, allowing top players to ding those fast meters 2/3 of the time! No sir the "meter" in real life lasts like 1/4 second with many variables while WGT has it last like 1.5 seconds with only 1 variable! Waay to easy! You might "ding" a shot IRL maybe 1 out of 15 times, maybe 1 out of 8 for a Pro...

Don't get me wrong,   I agree that the price of equipment here is quite high, but if that keeps us from having monthly fees to play the game it will work for me.

Let's say they lower the prices to a more acceptable amount, but start charging a monthly members fee of about $10 to play here.   Now your paying $120 a year to play.

If I spend $120 on all of the upgraded equipment, (which during my travels to Legend, I am sure I have spent well over that) that equipment will stay there as long as I keep it.  Then the only costs to me are pay to play games or by which ball I play and thats if I decide to not to use the free ball.

Good point. The Links meter was the same speed for everybody but then Links wasn't in the business of selling equipment. Everybody also played the same clubs and your ability with them is what set you apart.

The $ factor changes everything.  Yay for capitalism.  :-)

exactly how much does WGT believe this game is worth? 120/year, 300/year, 500/year?

Last I checked the top console games cost 70 bucks.

I'm self employed, I set the prices for the junk I sell, if my customers think my prices are to high guess what........................ yep that's right. If to many of my customers think my prices are to high......................yep you figured it out. I'll try not to be to patronizing here but this is fundamental capitalism, you the customer control the pricing of my junk, you can make me or break me. Your choice.

I think WGT has a GREAT product [ with a few flaws..fix the skins game ]. I get to decide what to buy and whether it is worth the price. Don't you just love free enterprise??  :-))

I agree 100%. I rented it during the free rental weekend and found it to be the worst putter I have ever played with. I will take my level 55+ Daytona Rossa  putter for only 725 credits over the much more expensive Nike putter any day.   [ Of course this is in my Opinion only ]
