I used to use the "active topics" link alot, but can't find it where it used to be (below the "My Discussions" link). I know there was a problem with it "reloading" when using IE's "back" button, but Iiked being able to get to the topics at hand with just a click. I have the link-shortcut on my desktop, and that still works... so it may be a problem with my browser? Has it been axed, moved, temporarily removed...? WGT... Please reply. Thanks.

Probably not an issue on your end.... just speculation, but I think the Active Topics were removed courtesy of a spamming troll over the weekend....

Yeah, I used it too, and even made a thread about it in these forums (which was for some reason locked with my last post deleted, but lets not go into that).

And I have to go on every sub-category, and look at new threads that way. It works, but isn't as good.

ES, I've been using this "hopefully temporary" workaround with my IE (don't know yer browser's way of doing it).

I go here and either leave that tab open (this link will open "Active Topics" in a new window for you), or right click/copy the url to my clipboard, then paste it in the url box (up top of my pages) when I want to go back to the main "Active Topics" page from anywhere in the forums.

Hope this helps. And I hope a remedy comes soon.

Thanks Pugs.  I was trying to figure that out yesterday.  Never thought to switch the words around.

Well done Pugs. Finally I can go back to the way it was.

Even better way... d'oh! (there prob'ly are more)

My url box (at the top of the page) has a dropdown list. Click the down arrow ("v") and the "TopicsActive" link is always the top one!

Don't ask me how it got there, or how it stays there... maybe because it's the first page I come to, from a link on my desktop? I dunno... but it's faster than the "copy/paste" way, and I don't have to have another tab open this way.

There's an even faster way. I'm a keyboard-centric person, avoiding contact with the mouse as much as possible. For this reason, I prefer the Opera browser as one that is the most keyboard-friendly one out of all browsers. (Also the fastest browser, I might add.) Quality product of Norway.    You can surf the web in Opera in lightning speed using your keyboard only; there are the fantastic SHIFT+ARROW keyboard shortcuts, for example, allowing you to navigate between links on a webpage much faster than one might do with a mouse.

And, to open any bookmark, you can set up a keyboard shortcut. My own setup is the F1 key to activate bookmark selection: and then you only need to press one more key to open any of your bookmarks. If you, for example, set up the letter W for the Active Topics overview in this forum, then all you need to do in Opera is to press the F1 key, followed by the W key, and – presto! – the Active Topics webpage is already opening. That's much faster than fumbling around with your mouse, trying to select a specific item in a bookmarks collection.
