The Skills Challenge at Bali Hai is not even close to being right.  You've got crazy camera angles all over the place that don't allow you to see what is happening with the ball, the balls don't fly anywhere near where they are aimed most times, clubs that fly the ball way too far for their reported distance, and the results of some shots vary so greatly, it makes more sense to call it the Luck Challenge at this point, because to succeed at it has little to do with skill.

I know you have the Jimmy Fund tournament linked into Bali Hai at the moment, but you may want to consider taking that course out of the loop after it is done to resolve the wild inconsistencies.  I can live with some mild erroneous results, but what I have described goes far beyond mild.

If indeed you plan to patch up that course while the Jimmy Fund tournament is still going on, please let us know so we can have a chance to play it again and improve our scores.  There's some big prize there on the line!

Thanks for hearing me out.  You guys are doing a great job resolving all the issues elsewhere in the game, and I have no doubt that Bali Hai will also be dealt with as time allows.

    Hi Tibbets,

We agree that the Bali Hai challenge is not performing as well as we would like, and we are working on making it better. To keep everyone in the loop on our progress, we will post a blog each time we push changes, and list the improvements made.

Do keep in mind that the Bali Hai challenge is only associated with Sweepstakes tournaments at the moment, which means the score doesn't matter. Each entry gets an equal chance to win the tournament prize in a random drawing.

We appreciate all the great feedback, and thanks for your patience.

Am only responding to indicate that these old posts are being dug up by some algorithm or something in the forum... this post showed up in an active thread list ... i did not seek it out or do anything special to locate it.

Something in WGT forum appears to be pulling up old threads for whatever random reason.  if it is anything like some shots observed, do you think it qualifies as acceptable variance despite being over 11 years 6 1/2 months old and was completely inactive until now? I dont consider that active do you?

crazy eh?    and possible worthy of new "oldest throw back thread"...

    LOL... thanks...

I found this date span calculator too, not in the forum, but it may help with close entries...

And you are quite correct... reading, researching the forum and youtube helped a great deal in my progress.  Few things have I come up with on my own, so any progress I made can be attributed to those who shared tips, insights, calculations, ball mapping, etc.. after that it is putting in the work, tweaking things, and gaining experience playing. Oh, and can't forget favorable wind conditions at the right times.  That too can make a big difference on key rounds.

I have been told that the OP was the best player on WGT at that time.
