  Here's a suggestion - when a player reaches the required points to advance to the next level - stop increasing the target!

  Example:

  I was on 23560 as 'pro'   told I need 25515 to advance to 'tour pro'.  Fair enough. However, get to:

  25638 - the target has now shifted to 27715!  This has now happened around 3 times. Reaching the target, only to see it changed and out of reach.

  Hardly encouraging players to continue.

  Those XP targets are for Levels NOT Tiers. They are two very different things.

  The screen tells me, very clearly, to procedd to tour pro these are the points needed - it is ever changing. Therefore, it's just rubbish -no?

  Coin players are tiered up by levels (at least early on). I don't know if he does a lot of coin matches, but levels matter for them for tier progression.

  Yes I understand that coin players who do not play RR's and therefore have no real AVG can Tier up through Leveling up. I think this player is actually a Match Play only player which I believe you can tier up by winning matches.    
  But based on what the OP has said, he thinks that he should Tier up every time he achieves enough XP's for his next Level.  The OP thinks that the XP Level Up Meter is his Tier Up Meter.  The XP meter is only for Leveling up it is not a meter to when you will Tier up next, Leveling up and Tiering up are two different things.

  This is what Marchie is talking about. It doesn't say anything about "Tour Pro", it just says "Next Level" which is different from "Next Tier."  :-)

  @Mike: On May 14, you levelled up to L39, see your activity list. The text should be "Next level at 27,715" for L40 - please quote any different showing.

  This reference table shows the numbers.

  I simply don't know how far WGT advanced players by level so that's why I wrote it was at least early on, which means it could also include advancing through other tiers. But I was confident they did at lest through the early ones. 
  
  But to answer your question, no, I guess wouldn't include Legend as an early tier.
