No names.  How does a player with a 60.45 Stroke average remain at "Legend" level for well over 1 year.  He also consistently beats Tour Legends and Champions in stroke play tournaments.  Is there way to purposely not level up?

There's nothing unusual about being at Legend for well over a year. At Legend tier, saturation is 500 rounds, and the average needed to get to Tour Legend is 60.00.

Being at Legend for well over a year is hardly suggestive of someone purposely not leveling up.

Robert is, as usual, correct.  For example, I have been a legend a long time to the point where I am simply a journeyman now. I have no interest in the grind it would take to make TL.

I enjoy the social aspect of Alternate and that's pretty much what I stick to. I also play the odd game of match, but I abhor stroke...between the replays and no cc's, a game takes seemingly forever.

To the OP, the grind down from 61 to 60 can take seemingly forever. It sure did for me. You've reached the point where lower rounds are only replacing 31/62s, and you wonder if you'll ever get there. It's known as "Legend Hell."

Exactly. I thought I tiered up fairly quickly from Legend to Tour Legend. Nevertheless, it still took my about 18 months to accomplish that task.

How long does it take to be from tour legend to champion?

The saturation is now 750 rounds. If I recall correctly, when  tiered up, it took me just a bit over 4 months. But back then, saturation was only 200 rounds.

I stayed at legend for over 2 years. I made some credits in ready gos. here or there.

Here's the thing. All i did was avoid playing Red tee tourneys unless they were Custom courses or par 3s or par 5 courses.

So basically I didn't artifically drop my average. I played normal courses. it just takes a while to get under 60 playing regular tourneys and RGs from the back tees.

As to TL to Champion, they tweaked the algorithms for mobile. I went to champion with only 70 ranked rounds from the time I hit TL.

    Bottom line.. ignore tiers.

there isn't any point  in tiering up fast. Just play the game. Other than ego boosts it doesn't really mean anything,
