  fourdeans got off to a good start and never looked back. Golfinut2 never could find his groove and was a gracious opponent in the end. It was a pleasure to play you Don and again thank you for your service.

   

  Thinking that this post was missed when recording results for Round 4.

  I believe there was an error in posting results.  Group 2 Round 4 Match 2  Tie 6 has not been played as yet.  Tie 8 has been played.  Sheet shows Tie 6 victory for Msulaman.  Should be Tie 8 victory for Mfuston.

  Great Battle there, we both had connection issues, but we managed to play at a v high standard and a very leveled game. Mikey was unlucky on hole 13, saving par while I could find a bird. And a v long putt gave me some air to reach last hole, knowing he'll be trying to hole another great approach. He was always close.

  East Coast v Indian Red   Group 1  Round 4   Match #8

  Cuser44 v Gman4l60

  Full Recap--going for a Pulitzer on this 1---

  Played my match against Gman4l60 (Gary) and started on fire.  After splitting birds on 1 I fired off 2 beauties on 2 and 3 and birdied both.  My opponent missed his for pars and a quick lead.

  We split pars on 4.  Shitty wind.  I add to my lead on 5 with my 4th birdy out of the 1st 5 holes.  Gary was having some meter issues and unlucky putting on the front 9.

  He gets 1 back on 6 with my birdy putt burning the edge.  Gary made a beauty for his bird.

  Holes 7-9- No blood lose here.  I lipped a birdie on 8 and Gary just missed one on 9.

  Gary made a charge after we split birds on 10.  He picked up a stroke on 11 with a birdie. 

  Cuser  -5   Gary  -4

  Here's where our match took a turn against Gary.  We split pars on 12 and head to the Lucky 13th.  My second shot rolled off and Gary nailed his.  My heart sank.  I punch up and save par.  Gary missed what seemed like a definite bird to split pars.  I am alive.

   

  Hole 14 I drain a tough downhill putt for birdie and Gary plays his worst hole.  He tried to Ram his birdie and lipped out.  He then lipped his par putt for his only bogey.  2 Stroke swing on my part.  Score is now -6  to  -3 in my favor.

   

  We split pars on 15 and 16 and both nail our tee shots for birds on 17.  Mine was 4.5 and his was 2.4.  18 was uneventful with both of us making pars.

   

  Gary was a tough opponent and a great guy to play against.  The match could have gone either way up to the 13-14th holes.  

   

  Final Score   Cuser44  63 (-7)        Gman4l60-  66  (-4)
