I reported the same issue. My shoes went to level 9 but the payout is still the same as when they were level 8. WGT acknowledged the issue and bumped it up the chain. Am awaiting a reply.

Lol we even have some red tipped options in the new apparel  .... maybe after they run out of goofy ball effects they will add in shoe effects... i wanna go home...  atleast you can find something they match... if you opt for sunday red in your coin games.

Oh well, still got a laugh from your post.

Back to original topic... i upgraded another coin item, i think i got a small boost in coin interest but will take awhile to cover the expense.

This comment has come up a number of times.

I fully see the futility for those who never use them... however, they are the "currency" required for use in coin games and they are required for use to upgrade apparel.  Love it or hate it, it can be challenging to compete against a coin room specialist without apparel so you may want to invest coins in upgrading your own.

You can buy coins or you can gradually work to build up a bankroll to sustain your play in the coin rooms or wait months or years to gradually build them up by simply leveling up - (you get coin bonuses for each level you reach).  There is also a daily spin but it is really insignificant for the most part.

Some members enjoy playing TW's to support their Country Club.  Others don't.  Either way, they are still required for use.  Competitive TW require participation in the higher coin rooms.  It takes time to accumulate or win a bigger bankroll to play in the more competitive rooms.

So, let's say you spent 6 months to a year playing lower end coin games to build up a coin bankroll to play higher stakes... you value those coins more than others because you invested time and effort to win them -- as worthless as they are to other people.

You can lose months of work in the lower coin rooms in a single match in Bellagio which is a 2.5M entry fee.  The competition is tougher the higher you go...

None of these may be meaningful to you, but I suspect they may be to others that play in the coin rooms.

That's the best explanation...and the lower coin rooms you have Pros and Tour Pros who are very talented with all the apparel they own.  It's friendly competition vs. playing solo.  Kind of fun.

wanted to update... my coin boost appears to have gone back up... to what I had roughly expected before.

also... there appears to be confusion by some desktop players who "stumble" upon hundreds of thousands of coins... to them they never really invested time to earn those coins but did so passively over years of playing the game.

it is my understanding and observation WGT awards coins bonuses for every level you achieve... so even though desktop PC players have never played coin games... as soon as they log into the mobile platform their mobile profile is populated with all the coins they would have received for each level they had achieved.

I believe it was around 100 coins per level... if a desktop player has attained level 100 they would have roughly over 505,000 coins from leveling up alone.

I didn't track this exactly and I don't recall if WGT capped the bonuses but this does explain how desktop players find hundreds of thousands of coins in their account they never earned by playing coin games.

How many should you have approximately???  the L100 example above... is below... you simply substitute your level for n.

You can use -- n(n+1)/2 = then multiply the result by 100.

    hence 100 (101)/2 = 5050 *100 = 505,000 coins

Word of caution... manage those coins wisely if you don't want to buy them... as noted above... the coin room specialist with maxed out apparel can sometimes even beat skilled desktop players.

I find that quote funny in the sense that I never got any 'coins' when I signed into the 'mobile' version the first time on my phone, while the whole time being a 'pc player'.

I also find it funny that after reading a lot of posts on 'coins' and the 'who what where when and whys' of coins, that coins only matter for 'mobile players', yet in order to play 'mobile games' you MUST have COINS!

Until that is, there is an 'Altshot, Matchplay, free to play while playing pc/mobile version.

btw, "Hey WGT, where are my coins"! I was at least Level90 the first time I logged in if that quote above is the case.

    Thanks,

If i am mistaken in this, i would hope WGT would clarify it... because other desktop players have shared coin bankrolls consistent with this even though they dont play coin games.  Will see what or if they comment.

I sent a message to CS to ask for clarification based on my observations, because I don't want to be giving out inaccurate or misleading information.  I got a reply to the effect the information would be passed along to the correct department to review.
