Playing a match yesterday and recorded my first true ace in play.  I have made a few in CTTP but never during normal play.  Hit a perfect shot on #8 at the Ocean Course and it curled into the cup.  Alas no replay available for me to record it and it didn't count on my Stats.  I understand that stats on match play can be a little issue, since you don't always play nine and all that but an ace is an ace and it should count in match play as well.  Flagsticks hit, eagles, long drive, long putt, all those items should be recorded as well.

I believe this is one of those rare instances when both a "Congratulations!" and "Condolences" are required.

I understand your frustration with the situation, but, as you stated above, the Match-Play format does not lend itself well to the stat sheet.  Simply because of the fact that, in proper Match-Play, the "Concede" feature is used liberally.

    Tell me about it.

I also finally got my first ace, but it was in matchplay.

    Oh well.

Yeah I understand the concept but it is a little frustrating.  I can see how not using scoring, fairways and greens in regulation, putting etc. would not be used.  I do think that long drives, putts, flagsticks, eagles and hole in ones should show up but we play with what they give us.  I was pretty happy to make a hole in one and on #8 at Kiawah with a good wind, nice to see it curl in just wish I could have saved it.
