Ok after 2 years of beta this kind of stuff should not be happening.  I try and hit a 4 inch putt which should go right in the hole.  Very slight break but hey from less than 4 inches it should go in right?  How about it goes right through the flag stick and leaves it 2 inches from the hole.  Wow!  Lets try again from 2 inches.  There we go again right through the flag stick.  This happened during a single play tournament too.  And I'm suppose to spend money on this game when the game play is STILL this shotty?  You can say what you want about the graphics, the game play is the issue.  I would hope this kind of thing wouldn't happen to a game that has been in Beta for 2 years.

I haven't played this game in a little while due to things like this that piss me off.  I thought I would give it another try and look at that, same thing.

All I can say is that the game has its ups and downs.

Also please watch the language...Not everyone who plays here is 18 and over.

Just to let you know I'm a 18 year old College Freshmen, but there are some who are 17 and under who plays here and the WTF is not really the best thing to put as your topics title.

Just advice, not scolding you at all. Just advice.

Wow.. interesting bug you have found.  In all my time here I have never seen the flagstick in the hole from 4"... let alone 2".

Perhaps right clicking the screen next time it happens and submitting a bug report so they can look at changing that.

It's very odd.. I've missed 4" putts, too, but only when the swing meter takes a complete poop on me... but I've never seen a flagstick issue.

    Good luck with that.

The flagstick shouldn't be in while you are putting.

Ah .. Studioshd... While I agree with you that this is an inappropriate place for the language, I must also remind you of two very import sections of the Terms & Conditions. To wit:

    • You agree to provide true, accurate, current and complete information about yourself as prompted by a registration form to obtain a password for any Restricted Areas (as defined below).

    • YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE TO USE THIS SITE AND BY USING THIS SITE, YOU REPRESENT, ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU ARE AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE.

If you know anyone who is here that is not at least 18, it is your duty to inform members@worldgolftour.com.  Simply to protect the game.  If we have minors winning prizes they are not eligible for, there are some sticky lawyer-type moments ahead.

Hey Snakie I don't any personally, I heard about it in a post(That is now locked) where a flame war burst where one said lets do bikini avatars but the other said no, because some might be minors who is playing the game. I don't remeber there name or exactly what they said so that is why I didn't qoute.

That was me .And I've since learned to control my Idiocy or at the very least keep it to a minimum.I  haven't felt the desire to post a topic title in that manor nor should anyone else.Whats the point? We are all adults here ,aren't we?I have come to realize that just like on the course,Golf etiquette literally flows through these forums with some minor cases of distaste. It's allways the samething,I missed a putt boo hoo,the meter put me in the rough boo hoo.It is just a game that if taken as your only sense of pleasure,,,You might want to broaden your horizons. If you feel the need to discuss your disgust, look in the mirror, for they will tell you what you want to hear. Not what you need to hear.

    Good luck with that,

    Larry

Yes, there are players younger than 18 playing this game, and it would just be too brutal to deny the enjoyment of this game to everyone younger than 18. A sort of apartheid. We discussed this a few months ago and we mentioned examples of companies' legal departments going overboard, trampling over common sense. Yes, minors shouldn't perhaps be allowed to enter tournaments for prizes, but there's nothing wrong about them playing multi-player / single / practice rounds and enjoying the game.

I won't beat this to death, but I agree with abstaining from WTF etc, regardless of age of people here, primarily for two reasons.

Some of us are Ladies and would prefer a more sensible and civilized approach to communication. And not to be sexist, but some men are just as civilized and sensible and would rather not see it either.

Secondly, this has always been a game of Gentlemen and Ladies. Decorum is paramount, even if you are a redneck girl from southern Oregon like me. :)

I appreciate those of you that keep things clean for the rest of us.
