I don't know what is up with this hole. I double bogey every time because my first shot usually with a 3I usually always carries way too far way over the green. Than the second shot that is set up the same exact way comes up way short. Anyone else having the same issue with this hole. I would have been -10 under yet with that double end up 6 under. Its almost like they chose a 3w for me instead of a 3I

With crosswinds I hit about 98% of my 4 iron flat.

That hole can be quite unpredictable.  I have had what should be a reasonable shot fly past 20 long (splash), and take off 10 yards from that shot and come up 15 yards short of the hole.

    Gusty winds, I guess.

Yesterday I came to this hole and found it to be wildly inconsistent. When I played it the pin was 248y so I took out my 220y hybrid. It sailed the green and went directly into the creek. Then I re-teed with my 195y 3 iron and came up 30 yards short of the green. What should have been a 15 yard difference between the two shots ended up being 70 yards or more.

The hole is a 4i shot. Use top spin into the wind, no spin with neutral wind and back spin with wind.

248 yards with a 24 yard drop gets you the 224 yards  but the big downhill skews that. Throw in some wind and I can see why you're going buggy. Play the 4i, worst case scenario is you come up short and have a decent uphill putt.

If you come in from the right side you get a nice roll down to the hole. :-)

p.s., That hole happens to be the 9th hole on the CTTH there and I can't tell you how many rounds that hole has loused up. Get to the tee under 20 points and wind up nowhere near the $. Sooo been there. :-D

To me, par there is like a HIO.

I am surprised when I land on the green with my tee shot now.

From the back tees the true distance will be 224 yards. Make use of that as you will. And because it’s over 250 yards, wind drift effect for lateral and head is 1.5 times more.

Disclaimer: distance is played on mobile version. I use 3ft = 1yd for both elevations/drops.

PS: I see YJ had given the 224 already but the wind effect is mostly true. You still calculate 75% of avg wind but aim 1.5 of what you normally aim
