    anyone have anything similar to this? i could use a little help, especially with 12-14. ive started trying to play the faster greens. im comfy with 7.4 through 11, well sorta on 11. please keep it simple. ive done quite a bit of reading and all the other stuff is greek to me. thanks to everyone that takes their time.

    disclaimer: in my simple equations, #ft assumes ive already added or subtracted for elevation.

    7.4=  #ft *.9 +1ft

    7.9= #ft + 1ft

    9= none

    10= #ft /1.1

    11= #ft /1.2

    12= #ft /1.3

    13=

    14=

    Pretty close, though I use multipliers rather dividers. But whatever you do, elevation is the real wild card. After using whatever calculators you like, it helps to remember to still add a bit of oomph for uphills, and subtract a bit for downhills,

    Then you have putts that start uphill and end up downhill. Only practice and note taking can help you with those.

    I don't know if this will help, but it works well for me. The problem is that there are so many small things that don't get seen in the formula, like adding a foot for uphill putts, but not down, and subtracting a little extra for steep down. Anyway... This gets me real close on 13 and 14 greens.

    13= #ft x .68 downhill / #ft x .76 for uphill

    14= #ft x .62 downhill / #ft x .68 for uphill

    13+ greens are the only time I use different multipliers for up and down. Anything slower than that, my numbers remain the same both up and down. If you play with that and it seems to be something that works for you, I would be glad to share all my numbers. I have them for every ".1" difference in green speeds. You can shoot me a message if you want them.

    Note: The putter you have is a gr8 putter. It is the one I was using when I came up with all of my numbers.

    Cheers   Brett

    thanks Brett. ill give them a try. i go by feel and experience in addition to the equation with the steep puts. itll be nice to have an uphill and downhill number. this game is difficult but its so much easier once you can control the speed of the putt

    Not really on topic, but have you noticed there are more Stimp 14's appearing? I am still trying to get those dialed in. Making a poor putter even worse. LOL

    14 greens i know downhill putts....distance x .62 then subtract elevation works well for me

    ..... I saw the numbers earlier in the thread as well. I was simply looking for thoughts/opinions on the Stimp 14 showing up more often.

    Do you think maybe WGT is changing things up a little as far as difficulty is concerned?

    I have not been playing enough to notice - were 14 greens showing up before Tour Champion was announced?  Even as a newborn (struggling baby) legend, I had played on some 12s and 13s before, but did not remember any 14s.

    I have frequently seen 14 and 14.5 greens ever since turning Champion a few months ago. I have not notice any more than usual as Tour Champion. I would guess they have them as often as once a week in one of the weekly tournaments.
