Ball run on approaches

    True that! Those are the holes where it works best to bounce it up and on, rather than trying a pinpoint landing. Unless, of course, it's one of those with a "backboard."

    you obviously don't play real golf ?    hitting in to a green with elevation you will always get less spin, so giving the ball more run on.

     

     

    Spin is imparted to the ball when you hit it, regardless of the green elevation.  The trajectory of the ball is what matters.  The skipping stone example explains that.
