Putting Tip: Distance Control

  Correct.  Part II will go into the various green speeds including tournament greens.  Now, the trick is, once we get below a certain point, the amount of power needed increases.  I have to address that.  However, I would hit also about 3.5 feet in your situation.  thanks for your reply.

  ALL input is welcome, with respect to the issue of trying to help those who do not know how to calculate putts.

   

  5. New hole distance is 10 feet + (-6.5) or 10 - 6.5 =  3.3 feet to the hole.(NEW DISTANCE) 

   

  CORRECTION

  New Hole distance formula:

  1.  Actual Hole distance = 10 feet.

  2. Fall = (-5) inches

  3. Adjustment is (-5) inches x 1.3 = -6.5 feet

  4. New Hole Distance = 10 + (-6.5) = 3.5 feet.  

   

  NOW, IN THIS FORMULA I INADVERTENTLY USED THE CORRECTION FOR FAST SPEED GREEN WHICH IS:

  5 . 3.5 X 0.95 = 3.3 or 13%

  6 FOR VERY FAST GREEN : 3.5 X 0.85 = 3.0 feet or 11.9%

  7. FOR TOURNAMENT GREEN 3.5 X 0.75 = 2.6 FEET OR 10.5%

  8 FOR STANDARD SPEED (SLOW) = 3.5 FEET OR 14%

   

  These formulas work consistently for me, if you have a better way, please advise.

  Great tip, but @OP....when someone says "never up, never in" my grandfather would joke back....."those that run past don't go in, either."  Still makes me laugh.  Nice tutorial.

  I was over 6 weeks away from here. Before i do a very lot off putts very - very closed all times.  But the last days i have a horror for the next green.

  Rounds where i can play 4 until 6 birdis easy, i finished actualy with 4 -6 Bougeys.

  What have WGT done the last time here ????

  Im thinking someone at WGT was smoking something when they updated the putting. It's total JUNK right now and just like always WGT is not getti ng off there butts and fixing it.

  Just finished a practice game on the front nine of Kiawah Island course and played better in practice mode then in ranked mode. Is it me or the game engine noticing what mode you are in and making it a little harder to make par or under?
