The putting and chipping is actually very unique and virtually correct.  The inconsistencies lie on the course in which you are playin as well as the rough, sand, fairway you are chipping from.  What they need is a driving range or better yet, a driving range at each course to work kinks out before play....  that would be nice!!!

How about Practice? You can practice.. tyr it. hit some funky shots, some good ones , lay up etc. You'll be amazed how this helps you!

I never noticed that about the azim line before. That's a WONDERFUL tip!! And knowing the 5 and 7.5 position with the putter head is definitely a plus also!! Thanks!!I

The increments on the 150-foot scale are 15 feet. It's a crying shame that I know that, but it helped me two-putt from 71 feet on the 18th at Bethpage on the last day of qualifying, so I can't fuss too much.

I was literally about to quit playing because I couldn't putt on this game.  Very, very helpful.  Thanks a bunch!  Now if only you could swing the club for me...

    Hi Nivlac,

Great post.  Bad luck in the open by the way - but thats golf eh? Next year maybe.

I did "putt" out a putting guide on my blog some time ago. If people want to have a look go to

www.wgtgolfguide.com  The guides a work in progress if you like, hopefully it will help people.

    Cya at St Andrews :-)

    Cheers Doug
