  What spin do people use for distance .......into the wind

  and                                                              with the wind.

  Depends a lot on the ball you are using and the spin that it has. Then depends on the driver's loft.

  Generally speaking a little top spin into the wind and some backspin with the wind. 

  On some of the links courses, you can use full top and the ball will roll forever when it hits the fairway.  

  Go to a practice course, vary the wind speed and map your driver with the ball you use.  It can help you find the best combination of club and ball for driving.

  You have a 9.5% Driver,this will give you more loft compared to mine at 8% ,

  Full backspin with wind behind for me,less backspin with side or head winds,

  When practising take note of how high your APEX is compared to how much spin you use and note the distance it travels,

  Top spin will cut down on the carry of the ball,but in some instances will give you good distance...as you now know..it is trial by error...
