I was wondering how to get close to the pin at #7 on edgewood tahoe in ctth. I either leave it in the bunker or it hits the hill and rolls off the green.

Agreed, if you have starter clubs, just use a SW full. You don't even need spin. I've made this shot before and consistantly get inside 10ft

with the wind in your face even with the SW it's hard to get it on the green

If you have wind in your face it is rare to have it more then 10m on Tahoe. Its never strong winds at this CTTH tourny. But when it is, a 9Iron can get out.

9I won't get there.  if it is strong in your face, you have to aim quite a few feet left of the flag and hope it trickles on within 15 feet (with the starter clubs, anyway).

Starter SW full swing and I'm happy to be within 15ft.  Darn tough shot.

If you search the forum you will see a lot about this hole.

Some suggest that the sand is really deeper and it's a misprint that was never fixed.

Some also say that the shot gets the best results only if dinged, and that is SOP but it's good to keep in the back of your mind.

    Some threads about it below:

Reverse your view.....move marker about 5 feet right of the hole....we have the same 60 degree wedge....77 yarder.....full BS....take a little off....if yu know where 72 yards is....thats the ticket....

This is one of the more difficult holes. Keep notes on all shots to compare.Different wedges have different effect on this hole as will type of ball. Use the shot pal or 'Original" to measure your distances.  And being in sand it really helps to ding. GL
