And to add to what has already been said, many times (within the same round) the winds help as much as they hurt.

My first really low score (a 26) was on RSG with strong winds. While there were a couple of holes that the winds could have potentially hurt me (the winds were basically 18-20 mph sideways), there were a couple of holes that I had short wedge shots into the green when I normally wouldn't have.

The winds giveth and the winds taketh away. All you really have to do is to learn manage them, your expectations, and the course. Easy! :-)

    TopShelf2010:

    Another fine response my friend.

You never see people in here complaining when they get that 25mph tailwind that helps them get that elusive Par 5 Double Eagle.

    Don

    Thanks!

And yes, people seem to easily forget when the game helps them. Of course, I'm the same. All my good shots are due to my amazing talent; all the bad shots are the fault of WGT. :-)

Name similar to that of a Gernan U boat?

Are you trying to torpedo the game and it's players with this ridiculous post?

Not a very well aimed shot.

Early on in my WGT playing career WGT would set some tournaments with 0 (zero) wind. I really enjoyed my rounds on St A with this wind setting. Today I suspect that I would find 0 wind on St  A an anemic challenge.

The only place I have ever seen 0 wind is Kiawah #1 off the tee. I'm an off dinger, and I usually go against the wind.

It messes me up when I don't have it, We adapt.

    Onward
