The problem started yesterday.  Everything is all good up to the 4 iron.  The 4 iron now goes the same distance as the 5 iron and my 3 iron goes the same distance as my 4 iron.  I have tried the upper level Taylormade balls and the upper level Titleist balls.  Same result for both.  I have never had an issue with these clubs before but I do now.

I went to Kiawah with low winds practice round and 1 to 3 wind.  196 is the best with a 4 iron and 209 the best with the 3 iron.

Anyone else having issues or am I the chosen one ?

I have no issue with the Level 95 Nike Vapour irons using the WGT Legend Ball.

3 iron 238 no spin, 228 FBS, 4 iron 212 no spin 206 FBS. Retested today

I also loaded the free ProV1x and that one worked fine too going a few yards farther than my regular ball.

No issues here either, using the same irons and the Nike l81 ball. You might try clearing your cache and Flash, something I do after every WGT update or when changing balls.

I don't think it's an issue, just the new reality. I noticed the difference in the 3, 4 and 5 irons right away. They carry a good 6-10 yards less than they used to. I get 215 with the 3, 200 with the 4 and 188 with the 5. That's with the TM ball that comes closest to the Nike I used to use, a 5 distance, 4 spin ball. Only dings were counted and it was at Kia #1 with a 1-3 R to L wind.

To be fair, the landing area in front of the green is slightly elevated and cuts down on some of the carry but if you aim to the left of the green and land in the fwy it's flatter. The same results showed up at BPB on the back 9 on 11 and 12. My general impression is that the TM ball is long off the tee but shorter on approaches with those longer irons.

Went back to the same hole, 1-3 low winds downwind with the Nike Black Ball 90+.

3 iron 216 carry was the limit on ding.

4 iron 202 carry was the limit on ding.

Something smells in the pro shop,  3 different balls and these irons are sucking big time.

Does anyone have the high level Callaway irons to try this test and see if the same thing is

happening with those too ?  I would appreciate it if you would let me know.

    thanks

    Are those with Full backspin?

The 3 seems a little short, but the 4 seems about correct I think -- assuming FB.

Tried all the Nike balls I had, 48,61,81,90 and 92.  Tried the Callaway 55+ Legend, the WGT balls and all came within 1 or 2 yards on the 3 and 4 iron.  Did cache thing and restart and it all comes down to someone, somewhere did something to something imo.

    All neutral no spin.

My Nike Vapor Fly Pro level 92 irons with the Nike black level 90 has these yardages 3 iron 228 carry with no b/s and 200 with full b/s 4 iron 218 carry with no b/s and 204 with full b/s. I get the same results using the new Taylormade level 96 ball. I get the same results off the tee with my driver using both balls.

Bob,  I'm not a crap shooter so I went back and mapped these again.  On the fairway dinged shot.

    3 iron - 217 no spin dinged  - 210 full back dinged

    4 iron - 200 no spin dinged -  193 full back dinged

    5 iron - 185 no spin dinged -  180 full back dinged

    6 iron - 180 no spin dinged -  169 full back dinged

When I get back to the 6 iron all is within reason,  5 to the 3 makes no sense.

I have sent them 5 messages with no reply,  imagine that.

    thanks
