Hi John, have you optimized your system for WGT? Also, have you tried turning off your putting grid to see if it helps? What are your computer's system specs?

I had to try google: game booster, just to test for myself.  It works!  Meter is running smoother.  Thanks for the suggestion.

Have been gone for a while and had already downlded game booster and playing on google chrome. Hasn't made much difference. I get about 4 or 5 good holes per round then  the meter goes to chit. While I was away I played this game on my sons comp. which has twice the ram as mine and the meter performed a lot better.

ha, download some third party program to make this bs meter work? Yea right, whens the last time i had to download some crap to make a game work, NEVER. Games that require HUGE amounts of memory and intense graphics perform fine without that crap. And gamebooster doesnt do anything...wgt servers r a bunch of 56k dialup modems

Any "downsides" to the game booster thing? Does it install anything else along with it? Has it been tested "spyware free"?

I'd like to try it to smooth-out the meter. Does it do anything other than that?

I s'pose I should search "Game Booster" in the forum for these answers, eh? lol... I will.

Well... just did the obligatory search and have found differing opinions about Game Booster's capabilities to help the meter stutter.

Just one question remains... does it come with an "uninstall", in case I'd like to easily and completely uninstall it, if I find that it doesn't help my system, or would I have to do it manually? The download site says that nothing get's changed/added to the registry...

Sorry if I sound overly-cautious... my system normally runs great, and don't want to muck-it-up unnecessarily...

@PugsAce- Yes, it comes with the uninstall. When I read about it a few months ago I tried it immediately and was in meter heaven. 2 or 3 weeks after that I got a virus warning deriving from gamebooster which coincided with an update from them but, for some reason I couldn`t install the update so  I promptly uninstalled it and mucked through WGT for a couple weeks until it was cleaned up. I then installed the updated version without any issues since. It does Not make the meter perfect but, it makes it playable by shuting down background programs which leach the resources needed to play this game. When I click on it, I`m given the option of which programs to turn off or leave on before it starts. This was helpful for me because I have a zoom on my mouse which I use to view  the overhead map with and adjust some shots (Kia#2, 2nd shot) that I can`t see with the game zoom. Just one example. Basically , you can choose and pick which programs ( it lists them all with check boxes) to leave running or not. From the looks of your specs you listed, it may not make a difference but, you won`t know until you try. It`s free(truly, not like other sites I won`t mention, lol) and as I said , that virus scare wasn`t an issue for me and I`m inept with computers at best. I still wonder how I played at all without it and probably would have given up playing here if I hadn`t read that forum post. GL
