This goes way deeper than that. This is the stuff civil wars are made of. The hatred and bigotry is ingrained in too many ignorant people.

Yeah, it's almost like two decades of constant hateful propaganda of the biggest TV-network and dog-whistling to racists of one of the two major parties left it's mark on a large part of the population that wasn't that smart to begin with.

@gonfission: are you some kind of parody account? your posts are frequently the most incoherent ramblings I read all week and that's saying something in the age of twitter

I cannot respond to your political take on this, as i choose to distance myself from a party line and try to remain independent of thought.

There was a time when the active military forces were called upon to re-establish order and control to the government.  I commanded armed , and loaded, soldiers, with armed track weapons in both Washington, D.C. and eastern Maryland.

This was nothing more than an organized upstaging of another group of people who thought differently.  The difference being the amount and use of those forces necessary to control the situation.

I have never been one to turn my cheek personally or to advocate doing so as part of a group.  The pathway to controlling  a disturbance of this size is to overpower the disturbing element with what ever works for however long it takes to restore law to the government.

no one person, or any group of persons can be above the law.  You don't like it? get it changed!  my nickle.

Then you need to read up on what has happened in this country for the last 8 yrs...the majority(not racial majority) has been turning the other cheek for years now, he is spot on!

    Speaking of uninformed ramblings...

It is not a "week" Presidents issue either Jim.

Your offensive rant and obvious bias is totally out of place in this forum and this discussion. There is no need to personify that which is exactly what is wrong with society-which you did.

You are out of line here and would do well to delete your barf. Do not make this political, it's against the TOS and serves no purpose other than to incite. Probably a good reason for not being allowed. Restrain yourself.

Anybody care to interpret what Birchi said? Getting a headache trying to figure it out.

What happened in Charlottesville is typical socialist behaviour.

If you don't think like them you are the enemy. They don't want discussion.

They call for violence in the streets, in fact they showed up to do just that, but after it happened they start screaming about being attacked. Playing the innocent card.

Of course MSNBC, CNN and all of the leftist propaganda media will play that card to the hilt.

Those of you that have never served in a combat zone need to understand one thing.

You have no idea of what real violence is. I hope you never have to find out.

Do I believe everyone has the right to exist? Yes I do. But I also believe we have the right to exist according to what we believe is right, and that what may be good for some is not good for all.

I won't discuss anything with neo-nazees*, white supremacists, or the KKK, unless they're asking for directions to Argentina, or better yet, hell.

    * Evidently the correct spelling is prohibited.

    No.

I hope that is not to much for you to interpret all at once. Apparently, my other posts are for you.

Well, C'est la vie. In your world that just may be... Get a dictionary.

that's saying something in the age of twitter

I have never entered the world of "Twitter", or "Facebook", as I know what their true pursuit has been, from the beginning. It does not bode well at all for the users. Metadata is it's forte.

I see myself as an educated bone bag, in many disciplines in life. Although no "formal" education from accredited institutions, I have received my PhD, in life's psychology, by traversing the planet, and sucking up information like a dried up sea sponge.

I received my indoctrination into the idiocy of war, by entering several. Some have positive results, and many do not. I try to elucidate here in these forums, in a favorable manner.

I can not & will not please everyone. It is not my intention to do so. I mostly hold my thoughts, until which time, I believe a "reality check", in your "lingo" is needed. I care little for disputatious volley.

For a person to openly say, "This is what creates civil war", is incongruous with an act of war. Civil or other.

Woops, sorry, slipping into intellectual speak. Something you may not be comfortable with. As I do not use my knowledge to infer the lack of retrenched ability, in my opponent, I shall try to be on your level, with out the vituperation.

So Bud, wussup wid you pissin on my back & tellin me it's rainin? Even doe's I tinks I be emeducamated, I bees stumped at witch party youse be talkin bout, in your leketure up there. ^^^

Is it bees the Dem's, or is it bees the Prebub's?

Personally I don't give a rat's ass. As another poster has penned, I am also inclined to my own thoughts, away from party affiliation. I actually think it is time to tear the system down. No democracy has lasted more than 300 years. We're almost over with 241 of those years.

    Get the message?

As you pointed out, one of my previous ramblings quoted George Orwell. "The party only seeks power, for itself, and no other reason" Paraphrasing a bit there, as to not shock you.

    Again

Before you call out anyone as an idiot, on subject matter. Perhaps you should actually read up on the point of contention, before you make a fool of yourself. I know what happened in your country, with people turning the other cheek, DUDE!

I also know what is happening in my own country after being TOLD to turn the other cheek, and give a completely incompetent man the reigns to the nation, for 8 years.

I base that last statement on Obumbles, making the statement that we have 57 states, and 3 more that he has not visited.

Here is the proof, in case you doubt me...

Jim's hero ^^^. And we were asked to shut up & support him. As a good American, I shut up. That's all I could muster. Sorry to rip down your idea of the greatest President we have ever had.

    Détente indeed

    1 2 3 4, I declare a thumb war....That's the best you're gonna get from me CHUM.

Hi Lee, been a long while. Very succinct post. I remember the water cannons as the first line of restoration, then the tear gas, then well, you said it best. Glad to hear you weren't in Ohio. I felt bad for those guys.

A  gracious thank you to Dan. I am humbled.

    Thank you

Edit: well Jim you personified the problem with a weak presidency yourself. I just answered in disagreement. Now that I have seen your threat to me, you may have to take yourself out of the picture for politicizing it yourself.

    Irony

I don't imagine you're going to like the video I put up either. It's not political at all. It simply shows the idiocy of any person, in any form of authority.

It's a disagreement. You going to war over a disagreement? Pretty shallow.

I can see what Birchi's talking about now. What a load of crap. Get over yourself and you're still out of line.

With all due respect........ and after reading the following previous posted statements...

    ------------

"This goes way deeper than that. This is the stuff civil wars are made of. The hatred and bigotry is ingrained in too many ignorant people. Only solid leadership will maintain order and the United States is severely lacking there. That is what has to change."

"This is exactly the epic fail by today's leadership-there is no clear cut stance against this sort of behavior especially when leadership calls that a base of support. Half right when you're 100% wrong to begin with sends a most confusing message and empowers the wrong element. It's how you control the narrative."

    -------------

It appears that you are the one that has stumbled over your shoe laces and made this "political"..........

I've had my issues with "gonfission" in the past, we tend to agree on very little........ However,  to open the door to "politics" then lay blame at his doorstep for responding is .......................................................some priceless irony.

Non-violent response or even ridiculing them should help to disable them. They seek attention like internet trolls - don't feed them!

Sorry Jim, but the quote above shows who was first to bring politics into the mix.  I'm sure this thread will be deleted soon.  Once it's gone, lets really try and keep the politics out of the forum in the future.

Many of us have differing ideas as to politics, but we are all  here because we enjoy the game.  Lets try and keep that the focus in the future.

    Jeff
