Why does WGT decide when it's time to take my golf balls that I paid for out of play? I mean..what's up with that?

All balls ( except starter ) have a "durability" rating, meaning they will only take a certain number of hits ( much like wearing out a ball IRL ). This is also one of WGT's income sources.

    Doc :)

The balls wear out. The little graph in the lower right of your screen tells you how much life you have left.

Sometimes it helps to sacrifice a goat.  If that doesn't work, sacrifice your firstborn.  If your firstborn happens to be a goat, you might have married below your station.

You don't pay for balls, you pay for a limited license to use the "balls" software.

AFAIK, ball life is about 90 to 120 shots, except for putts on the green.

I remember my Ex saying something like that the other day.  Ouch!

Using the Ball Washer will extend Ball life by 35%.

Be careful, the first time I used the ball washer was very painful.

Cautionary note: When playing water holes the chances of hitting into the water are inversely proportional to how much "life" is left in the ball. This effect  is similar to using a "cut" ball or a gently used ball on  similar water holes IRL .
