man its really frustrating to try and play when you have to dodge a glitch every other shot.

i was playing CTTH tahoe and i could count on at least 1 glitch every time on hole #3.  i finally just gave up.

my games are usually stable but jeez i understand why people get upset with the game.

tried chrome and firefox (both latest verions) and tried gamebooster... no combination was successful.  just unusable performance.  you can't play when you keep having gltich mishits that ruin your score.

my system is squeaky clean.  like i said i usually have stable performance.  but i can see how someone would never play this game again if they experienced anything close to what i experienced for the last 45 minutes.  i hope WGT has success past the beta period... but can they without figuring out how to avoid such performance issues?  i'm sure this has been discussed plenty before my arrival here.

    here's my task manager.

I hate it as well! On this weeks' Single 18-hole stroke play, i made an eagle on the first hole by holeing it from like 88 yards. So i started off with -2 and thought that i may win this one, but the on the 4th hole, i was -3, then it Fricken lagged on me, so i went out-of-bounds.! I got SO pissed off and ended up with a double bogey. Then the next hole, i got another double bogey, due to the lag/glitch. So i ended up shooting a disappointing 72. Shoulda shot a 64 (at least), but after i made 2 double bogeys, i was too mad, so i didnt try to play the rest. Wasnt focused at all after that! VERY disappointing!

if the "glitch' being discussed is when the swing meter stutters, aka stops and restarts mid swing, just don't click the ding...when you see it stutter, take your hand off the mouse...it counts as a practice swing.

i realize sometimes the stutter occurs right at the ding click timing point and there is no salvation...but typically for me, the power bar will stutter on the takeaway, warning me its going to stutter on the follow through as well, so i just lower the power bar back to 0 and wait for a few seconds then try again.

also, i tend to see very few if any of these my 1st 18 holes...then the frequency starts to rise...i started closing my browser every 18 holes and the problem rarely shows itself now.

    Hi,

I find my swing meter glitches few and far between, however lately they seem to be getting worse.

Definately worse in multiplayer format and also, full screen.

Had an amazing moment the other day. Kiawah, Par4 on the back nine, the round had been going well, no probs. High wind conditions. Second shot into the green, wind of the left 20mph - so adjusted aim to compensate -as normal. Hit the ball on the swing meter pretty true - and the ball just vanished !!  Couldnt see where it went. In the replay I find the ball went at right angles to my left and straight out of bounds !!! Couldnt believe it.

The other week in one of the comps, had 2 ft putt to go -3  At the point of impact the swing meter went crazy. It was right at impact and I had no chance to stop my shot - missed the putt !! Carried on as best I could and came in at -1. It could have been a lot better.

So - whats the best combination in multiplayer mode? Do I play with full screen or not?

    Cheers Doug

Without full-screen, if scores are of paramount importance to you.

If enjoyment of the game & esthetic pleasure from looking at the pictures are more important than the scores, then full-screen is ideal. It adds a nice moment of surprise to the game: which holes will be affected by the meter glitch and which won't?    I for one always play in full-screen, it looks especially good on a big-screen TV. (I've just finished playing a round lying in bed.)

If the swing meter sticks or skips just dont hit it at the hit mark. Just let it go and u will NOT be charged a stroke.

    Hope this helps
