The key to shooting low scores is hitting it close.  Even the best players will miss longish putts more than they make them.  Sure it helps to be able to drain those 12 footers too, but most of the time those low 50's scores you see are a result of ridiculous avg. distance to pin ratios.

Forget shooting low, I'm just amazed this place is still in business. After all the hoops needed to play the game after all these years, still the same thing.

I'm a glutton for punishment, plus I just got back in the game after taking over a year off.

Rule # 1  - Hit it in the fairway

Rule # 2  - Hit the green in regulation

    Rule # 3  -  Putt for birdie

Very simple , Right ?    LOL

I just tried this method, making sure to sink each of the putts, including one from 37'. I can testify that this method works to perfection. Great tip! Now... if I could just ever do that again. (note: I'm still not winning that tournament. These guys/gals are good.)

Sounds a lot like something I heard many years ago, in the Goodyear hospitality tower at Daytona. I met a guy who said he had been the first teaching pro in Russia. He said he only told new golfers three rules:

    1) Hit the ball.

    2) Find it.

    3) Hit it again.
