ChambersBay: missing windmill & clown's mouth.
    PinehurstNo2: ugly, inverted saucer greens.
    Merion: boring as all hell.
    OlympicClub: uphill and monotonous.
    Oakmont: masochistic golf for psychos.
    BethpageBlack: just yawn-inducing.
    KiawahIsland: ruined by tricked-up greens.
RoyalSt.George: nuclear power plant only highlight.

    PebbleBeach: fair and fun
    St.Andrews: fair and fun
    Congressional: fair and fun

    CellophaneBridge:

ChambersBay: missing windmill & clown's mouth. Basically is junk
    PinehurstNo2: Use backspin
Merion: boring as all hell. Very challenging, can be frustrating though
OlympicClub: uphill and monotonous. Best course in the game by far
Oakmont: masochistic golf for psychos. Another top course in WGT
BethpageBlack: just yawn-inducing.Very easy but still fun
KiawahIsland: ruined by tricked-up greens. Yeah if the grounds crew didnt do coke would be solid.
RoyalSt.George: nuclear power plant only highlight. Boring links course but still fun

PebbleBeach: fair and fun easiest 9 in the game
St.Andrews: fair and fun Also really easy
Congressional: fair and fun 2nd best course in the game

    FTFY

I think you're just scared of the hard courses mate

This was the first course WGT made as a stroke play course it was a learning expereince for them. But if you really study the subtleties of the greens really paying attention to the minute changes in the dot speeds and directions you will find that they putt extremely accurate. It is not one of the take a quick look and putt courses.

I fully understand your sentiments. I also dislike things I suck at and am to lazy to learn.

I love all these courses though ;-)

Just thinking, every course listed has been a US Open venue except for the courses across the pond (St. A, RSG) & Kiawah.

How long does WGT's deal with the USGA run for US Open courses?

If for a while we've got the likes of Shinnecock, Winged Foot, Torrey Pies, The Country Club, & LA Country club to look forward to in the next 5 years.

I'd imagine its a pretty large undertaking to do up a course for us to play on here -- might not be possible in 6 months or less.  When we consider that, its understandable why courses are few and far between (i.e. yearly) b/c they've got to keep that deal with the USGA going.

    Just another perspective...

Was that done because local residents were raising Funny Looking Kids?  Just wondering.
