I played a guy the other day that had his flagpole option off...i.e the flag was missing. Can anyone tell me how to select this option?

    TIA Al.

You will see a flag icon in the top right corner of your screen.Click on this before you play your shot and the flag will be taken off the screen.

    Cheers.

In the upper left hand corner between the wind speed and distance there is a small flag. Click on it to remove the pin. Click on it again to replace it.

You're both correct, on the mobile version it's on the left and on the desktop version it's on the right. : )

At least you noticed what b2b put in his post Paul, the word 'left' in his post didn't even register for me until you replied to it.  ; )

Actually I was looking at the mobile app on my phone when I made the post. It is on the upper left on mobile.

And the flag can be removed while the ball is in flight.

Correct it can be.  But as far as the game is concern it will not be.  You have to remove it before you hit the ball for it to truely be removed.
