Giving my level - I am looking for the best wedge distances to help me get through Masters Tier. My current setup has worked well but I find that any shot in the 50 something range is often hard for me to get close to the pin. Thoughts?

TaylorMade ATV 54 gives me 110 distance, 60 gives me 90, and the 64 gives me 50.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Your wedges are stepped funny because you are using very different level wedges.  L39 and L64.  When I had the top level Clevelands become available to me I purchased the 64*.  After trying it for a few rounds I went ahead and bought the 60* and 56* wedges.  They are stepped at 60, 80 and 100 yards.  That worked pretty well with the Ping L59 irons PW being 115 yards.  But with the Clevelands you have to learn to control the backspin.  Because my Clevelands are stepped evenly, I don't have a hugh gap between them, and I only have mapped the 64* wedge for Punch shots and full shots.  The others I only mapped for full shots.

I don't know if you have learned all the shots available, but if no you should learn more.  Flop shots and Punch shots at least.  The Clevelands  are as follows:

64*  60 yards full shot, 50 yards Punch

60*  80 yards full shot, 68 yards Punch

56*  100 yards full shot, 84 yards Punch.

I would guess a punch shot with your L64 ATV 60* wedge is around 75 to 78 yards.

Mapping the punch distances with full backspin will give you the distances for that club.  I would map at least every 5% of power between 50% and 100% power.  2 1/2% increments will put you even closer.

I use Kaiwah #1 or #10 to be able to shoot to a fairly flat green.  I would note Carry and Rollout (if any)

I hope this helps.  Good Luck.

The 64° which you carry will nail it to 50 yds, maybe 51 with top spin and 52 with heavy tail wind, but not more. For the 55+ region, you need another club.

50 - 90 - 110 yds is an awkwardly irregular spacing, 50 - 75 would be much better (how long is the G25 PW punch? Mine is 110/94 yds). The 75 yds wedge punches to 64 yds, fitting well above the 50.

You might take the high level ATV @75 yds or the 80 yds Cleve and perhaps one of the 100 yds wedges (if any).

Even from the lower level ATVs 50-77-98 is better spacing.. Other option is to get a 75 yd, in place of the 3wd till legend.

Here you go Laces. I guarantee if you get the Level 33 Callies and the Level 80 Cleveland 64 Deg wedge, using the mini-chart below you will drop the ball within 2-3 ft of the hole every time. Subject to wind, elevation and incline of course. Which comes under the heading of Fine-tuning.

Oh and my advice would be to get the Cleveland wedge set that phred named, who no doubt is already on his way out to the course to try the chart out!

    LOL Phil.

Actually I have a very accurate chart that I made when I mapped my 64* Cleveland using a Nike L40 Red balls and a Nike L71 20X1-X balls.

My chart on Punch shots for that 64* wedge came from the forum and was made using a Cally L37 with 4.0 distance and 2.5 spin.  I find it very accurate also.

But thanks for passing that info along to others.

I stand erected. Should have known you would be organically-nized phred.

That chart is just one part of an A4 I have formulated/stolen/worked many hours on that covers Punch, pitch, flop and FTS,  that enables one yard increments from 4 up to the 63/64 yard range. I've found it priceless.
