Most underrated/overrated holes difficulty wise?

  Everyone talks about Merion #5 but #6 I believe is the one which brings a lot more big numbers. Congressional #11 is up there among the underrated ones.Also the 2 CB par3s on back 9.

  Overrated I'd go with PB #14,no eagle chance but its an easy birdie.

  But #6 is easy to master just by playing up to the pin. Long is where you get the big score. You can't do that on either pin on #5.

  I would say that without a doubt, the toughest "Birdie" hole would have to be # 9 at Oakmont... when the pin is tucked behind the sand trap.

  #18 at Cabo can be tough as well....

  Every hole has it's difficulty depending on the wind... Any hole can be easy with a given wind and vice versa.

  One hole where wind does not really effect the difficulty to get a bird is CB #1. IMO it is the most elusive hole on WGT.

  Merion 5 and 6... both of them you're hitting a long iron and the ball does not stop on either green.  If you hit it past the pin on 6 you have a great chance of 3 putting on champ greens.

  6 you for sure want to end up short. Much better to be going uphill .

  #1 & #9 at Oakmont.  #15 at Beth.

  Off the subject.  What is wrong with the people that set up the "most difficult" and the "most famous" layouts and left out Oakmont?  Never watched the PGA or played the real game?
