Just made Legend tier

  Howzit everyone

  Wow...it's like a whole new game! And props to WGT for giving me 200 credits - it ain't much but it's almost half a sleeve.

  Approach shot placement is wayyyy more important now.

  I must say though that I really prefer Legend speed greens, ie 12.

  I dunno if WGT is giving me an easy intro but I'm reasonably happy with my 1st 2 rounds as Legend - 34 and 33.

  Perhaps I'm imagining things but it does seem as if my short irons and wedges seem to stick more?

  Anyway, only 498 (is that correct?) rounds to go for saturation :-)

  It's a long haul Peter to TL. I just been seeing .02 coming off my average for weeks now and that's when shooting 29s and 30s....off default tees only of course.

  Well done and just enjoy as game gets better now.

  And I agree about the approaches. To me, the par 4s now become a series of par 3s. In other words, get the drive in play and then the second shot is the much more important one.

  Congratulations Peter, very well deserved my friend,

  For me, I only started to really enjoy the game when I hit legend tees as it became a challenge rather than just shooting for pins.

  I agree the reward/award programme in place is outdated and insulting but that is another issue.

  Short irons and wedges should be the same, perhaps it is the wind or landing spots that have impacted these.

  You will constantly learn and that is what keeps us interested - I certainly am on a learning curve and can play well some days, terribly others.

  But one thing I know for sure, with your attitude Peter, you will cope admirably at this level.

  Edit - one thing I recommend to others at TM level is start using the 3W from the tee - in that was the distance will not seem quite so daunting when you do hit Legend tees.

  As stated previously; enjoy the views. I find the scenic routes* simply stunning at times.
