This game's graphics are absolutely not up to par with TWPGATOUROnline. The putting is horrendous. The putting green to read is absolutely ridiculous.  Graphics look like they're pictures that got put in. Animations are blah. No draw or cut shots? Woow.  Lame. This game is absolutely horrendous in my opinion. This can be used w/ slower connection and you can still play KIND OF smoothly. But in my opinion TigerWoodsPGATOUROnline is a MUCH better game than this. If it had multiplayer and didn't use up so much connection it could've easily pwned this game even though TWOnline is still in it's Beta testing periods.

No-one is forcing you to play this game.

If you prefer TW2010 online, then I suggest you stick with it rather than make banal posts like you just posted.

    Ok, thanks for your opinion.

I hope you enjoy your cartoon golf.  It must very realistic changing the spin rate and direction in mid-flight... i do that all the time at my local muni.

    Have a nice day... kthxbye.

...no kidding?  Well yah....like Snaike said ....and I've said online a few times as well....this game is NOT for those wanting to "tweak shots in midair"  or do 157 "mulligans" while playing.   This so-called "blah" arcade game is the best true game out here....bar none.

Speaking of "bars"....ummmmm say WGT?  Ah....when will the injection of constant "smooth meter" be added for guys like me with old computers and only 1gz CPUs and 1gig of RAM?  hmmmmm?  LOL ~GtheDub

Snaike, you're confusing Tiger PC with Tiger on the consoles. You've never been able to change spin mid flight in Tiger PC ever, same goes for Tiger Online. It's actually a pretty decent golf sim if you want to play it like one. You CAN set it up from red tees, no wind, short rough, etc... But you can also play in more realistic conditions and it shows. I'm just saying, you're judging Tiger Online even though you've never played a Tiger PC in your life. I really don't get it. My opinion? Each game has it's advantages and disadvantages, I like both and will play both.

Also to whoever called it cartoon golf. It's all CGI, all animated, everything moves. Graphics in general can't emulate real life, but it can get really close. In general, Tiger looks much more lifelike because everything is "alive" and moving. The trees sway, the grass moves, players are animated well, etc.

Spikel, you're 100% right.  I judge all TW games by the 3 i've played.  All three were absolute and utter crap.  That's why I don't buy anymore of the TW franchise games.

What's the old saying?  Fool me once, shame on you.. fool me twice, shame on me?  Yea, that's it, and then I went back for a third.  (I was desperate, what can I say?)  Never again.

And it is cartoon golf. I am not referring to the graphics, I am referring to then urealistic physics... just like Bugs Bunny's crashing airplane stops mere inches from the ground, because it ran out of fuel.

    No thank you.

If you enjoy it, fine.  I really hope you do well.

You're judging from the console games, both games were made by seperate development teams inside of EA. The PC team originated from Head Gate, the people who made the old PGA Championship Golf sim. The other team is focused more on getting people who don't even like golf into the game by making it totally unrealistic. Again, don't judge the game until you've played it, becasue you obviously haven't played Tiger PC before.

I own 2004 on PC.  There is no mid-flight spin control or extra power button, but the game difficulty is still dumbed down in many respects.  You can still bomb drives over 400 yards with relative ease and consistency.  The TrueSwing is ridiculously forgiving, even on the advanced difficulty, so it's not particularly a challenge to find every fairway and green in regulation.

The biggest "computer assist" comes in the putting though.  Once you've maxed out your stats, all you have to do is aim to the right general area.  If you're anywhere within a square foot (arbitrary, but close to accurate) of where you're supposed to be aiming, the computer will then "adjust" the putt onto the proper line for you.

Tiger PC is superior to Tiger Console in terms of realistic playability (and a host of other reasons), but it's still not perfect.  You can easily shoot in the 40's and low 50's once you get the hang of it.

snaike...i dont know what planet in which galaxy you come from, but if you think the physics of this game are accurate then you are most definatly from someplace other  than earth  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thats why in this game you ping the meter in a whatever you say par 3 with a direct tail wind and it plays ...so good...that you wont even hit the damn green  oh yeah that just  the way its supposed to be....whatever you say...but thats not the world we live in...
