Advocate golfers, I had the pleasure of 'acing' a hole playing a 'Closest to the Hole' tournament...Check it out! ;}

Wow Gracious.. those are some really good shots. Congratulations!

I have to say, though, that while the "Ace" hole was an impressive shot, it is not an ACE, or a Hole-In-One ... it is classified as a Hole Out. If you look at your stats, you will find them listed under 'holed approach' shots.

Aces, or Hole-In-Ones, only occur from the Tee box. While they are possible, they are rare.

Keep up the good work, though, those are really good looking shots.

That's not correct Snaike.

A Hole-in-One in the Closest to the Pin Challenges have their own category seperate from Stroke Play Hole-in-Ones, but they are still considered to be a Hole-in One, or Ace. Also, a Holed Approach shot ( as per the stat you referred to ) only occurs during stroke play. They come in the form of chip-ins, pitch-ins, and other non-putting shots that find the bottom of the cup in stroke play.

See, it's even called an ACE award. That's my platinum award for Closest to the Pin Hole in Ones.

Hey thanks Snaike...for the compliments, but 'Tibbets' is pretty accurate- I can see how in your case it would appear that way....;} I wouldn't have considered it an 'Ace' if I didn't receive the award.
