This is a spin off from the "deviations" thread (http://www.wgt.com/forums/t/3374.aspx) and deserves it's own thread.   Or at least I think it does.

This thread is not about the "beast" (aka deviation), but rather, what should happen in regards to the accuracy portion of the swing meter, and what should happen when one clicks on either side of the "perfect" swing line in the game.

There is no right or wrong view point in regards to this, and who knows if WGT even cares what we think, but this is a chance to make your opinion known.

We have 2 camps here that I've seen.

One camp believes in what is essentially the "all or nothing" approach, which basically comes down to you have to hit the perfect line, and if you don't, then the ball can go left or right at random (with varying degrees of right or left movement also randomly determined).

The other camp believes that missing left and right of the "perfect" swing should result in a relatively predictable left/right movement, of which the degree of left/right movement and predictability of such should be predicated on how far left/right from perfect one hits and the club/distance involved.

I personally don't like the "all or nothing" concept and prefer being able to play the exact same shot more than 1 way with basically the same end result.   The all or nothing concept makes the game more rigid, reduces creativity, and eventually, makes the game more boring, IMO.

I like small misses.  I play to about a 6 or 7 IRL when I'm playing alot during the summers, and when I mishit a shot slightly it will usually hit a far part of the green or miss the green by maybe 10 yards max to the side.  I think this is more realistic than barely missing a perfect shot and being 30 yds left, just my opinion.

Even though my thoughts on the 'beast" are chronicled elsewhere... I would tend to agree with this paragraph.  Should I want a fade/draw, the degree to which the ball moves should be directly related to how early/late I make contact.

One thing I've noticed since moving up to the Master Tier is that the "beast" seems to have greater affect when I hit a perfect shot. I'm beginning to shoot for right next to the line because those shots have smaller degrees of variance.
