When aiming to land on a SPECIFIC spot on a fairway or a green, is there any difference between moving the blue inverted triangle to your intended spot of landing & then clicking the swing meter on center as much as possible, vs. leaving the triangle where it is & instead adjustting for the spot you want to land at by clicking the swing meter off-center the appropriate amount?

Are there any distinguishable differences between these two methods. Thanks in advance for anyone with any answers.

Playing off ding will shorten ball flight, reduce any spin given to the ball but help to keep the ball on line if you do it against a sidewind.
