Can anyone tell me or explain why my average isn't getting lower. My avg is 70.91, yesterday I shot a 31 on Kiawa and a 32 on St Andrews and my average stayed the same. If I shoot over par WGT raises  it, what do I have to do, shoot 10 under?

How many Legend rounds have you played?

I guess that there are plenty, and then the big denominator might confuse the view.

For example, after 400 rounds, 32 = 64 score might influence the average by about (64-71)/400, that's -7/400 = -0.0175. You should see it but you might have expected more(?)

Changes due to scores like 34, 35, closer to the average, may be hidden by rounding, too.

Furthermore, the average on the main screen might not be updated directly after the game.

Unrelated: Why don't you play tournaments? The provide double basic XPs for better levels.

Actually, this has started happening to e suddenly as well. Getting a -8 out of 9 holes did nothing to my 64.63 average. Something's wron to be sure.

    Par 5's don't count.

    +1!

@Ilsa: Think gross scores and double 9 hole scores!

Then, 74, 82 and 84 would not have been positive to your average.

You shot some higher scores in between - assuming you have not yet played 500 ranked rounds as Legend, they would have pushed the average back up again off-setting the scores below your average.

I agree with other comments that after many ranked rounds the movement after each round is small. If you only look every now and then it might seems with ups and downs that it did not move.

If I assume you had played 400 ranked rounds up to a couple of days ago, and then look at your most recent scores (doubling 9 hole scores) your average should have moved as follows (I have put an extra few decimal places to show you the detail - but remember WGT rounds to 2 digits)

    400 RR 70.93
    70 70.92768
    64 70.91045
    72 70.91315
    76 70.92574
    74 70.93333
    62 70.91133
    70 70.90909
    72 70.91176
    84 70.94377
    66 70.93171
    66 70.91971
    70 70.91748
    62 70.89588
    68 70.88889

So when you shot the 32 (2nd on list) your average would have shown as 70.91 (having dropped from 70.93)

A few higher rounds pushed it back up to 70.93 before you shot the 31 which again dropped your average to 70.91

The most recent run of 5 consecutive scores below your average has seen you drop it from 70.94 down to 70.89

It will drop a lot faster once you reach 500 ranked rounds - and then every low score will replace the highest score in your best 500 rounds as Legend.

    I hope this helps

    Kind Regards & Happy Hacking

    The Hakman

I am having the same issue. I am over 400 I am almost positive. I am shooting par or under most times when I complete a stoke round. Been stuck at 68.64 for some time now. I am trying desperitely to get to that 67 mark so I can tier to Master.... FRUSTRATING!!!

DD, as a TP only your best 25 (or 30?) scores count, so you have been "saturated" long time ago. Now it comes to replacing higher scores in the pot by lower scores which becomes more difficult in the end.

I noticed that you've played about ten scores of 33 and 34 in August, translating to 66 and 68 for the average. Apparently, 35s now do not better it, so you must simply play lower scores (not on Par3s!).

Beware that Master tees are longer than now, making the game more difficult. You might consider to exchange some of your remaining Starter clubs, e.g. the wedges (for better approaches) and the FW wood...

Hit it straight, and have fun!!
