  Gotta pull the pin on every approach. Sometimes, it doesn't matter whether you pull it or not:

  (I think this might be same hole, too (not sure).

  Just for FYI!

  You must pull the pin before taking any shot, once the ball is in flight pulling the pins has absolutely no effect, as WGT assumes it is still there.  This accounts for some of those seemingly unexplainable ricochet shots off the flag stick!!!

  Bottom line is, pull the pin before the shot, unless you are planning on using it to stop the ball.  (A tactic that can work in some downhill circumstances)
